Identity Verification Mechanism
The e-learning platform at Metropolis Training Institute has been built to safeguard the privacy of its users, whether trainees or trainers.
The Institute verifies the beneficiary's identity every time they log in to the learning management system/training platform, using a strict and reliable verification system.

Verification Steps and Procedures
Receive Login Details
After enrolling in the programme, the student is given a username and password, together with the user guide and the link to the e-learning platform (https://lms.metropolis.institute).
Initial Login
On logging in to the system, the student enters their username and password in the designated fields.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
The system requests a confirmation code generated by the authenticator app (Google Authenticator) linked to the beneficiary's mobile number and email address. A rotating six-digit (6-digit) numeric code is delivered to the app.
Enter verification code
After obtaining the code from the mobile app, the student or trainer enters it on the verification screen to complete the login process.
Advantages of the Verification System Used
- High security: The code is never repeated and is unique to each individual login attempt.
- Reliability: The service is provided by Google (Google Authenticator) and is trusted worldwide.
- Privacy: The system ensures that no unauthorised person can access the beneficiary's account.
- Ease of access: The app is free and can easily be downloaded from the app stores (Apple Store and Google Play).
